The Futural

Every festival is a collective question: what matters next? The Futural made that question visible.

An interactive installation at Vaasa Future Festival, the work invited visitors to select the topics they cared about most — the themes, ideas, and concerns at the heart of the festival's programme. As they chose, the installation responded in real time: generating and painting illustrations for each selected subject, building a visual landscape from the room's collective curiosity.

The result was a portrait of an audience's interests — not curated, not predetermined, but assembled live from the choices of everyone who walked in. What the crowd cared about, the walls reflected.
