Jääkärit 360
In 1915–1918, nearly two thousand young Finns travelled in secret to Germany for military training. Jääkärit 360 lets you follow the Jäger movement from the inside, one scene at a time.
Made for the Finnish Jäger Museum and the City of Kauhava, the tour moves through dramatised panoramic scenes created with the help of AI from historical photographs, maps and research. Symbols in each view open archive photographs, personal stories and original documents, and visitors explore at their own pace.
The Jägers' own voices come from interviews recorded by historian Tauno Kuusimäki in 1967–1978 for the Finnish Broadcasting Company Yle — some 80 hours of oral history. The experience is available in Finnish, Swedish, English and German.
